Crew & Technical Data

25 crew members and 700m2 made available to 20 passengers only

Philosophy

Scuba Diving in Indonesia - Komodo, Raja Ampat, Alor, Papua, Manado, Cenderawasih and more, is the principle past time offered on board the Phinisi Liveaboard MSY WAOW

Our philosophy

Each of the participants in this project is a diver and/or mariner and/or completely mad about boats. But not just any type of boat. For these folks the boat must have charm, style, class, and most importantly, make dreams come true.

The Crew on board

The crew is composed of up to 24 members including 1 European guide & “Cruise Director” responsible for:

  • The well being of our valued guests
  • The daily program
  • Diving operations
  • Land excursions

The languages fluently spoken on board are English, French, German and/or Indonesian, depending on the cruise director on duty.

Our crew is well selected, trained and respects the high levels and standards required by the company.

The Project Waow

Cruising, sailing and scuba diving in Indonesia with the liveaboard Phinisi sailing vessel MSY WAOW

MSY WAOW is a three masted sailing vessel, constructed entirely from wood using traditional methods, evoking the southern seas, liberty, adventure, comfort, quality and style. All to be shared by those going to sea on her.

With ten cabins for the guests, crew accommodation, dive equipment, multi media equipment and destinations as mythic as they are far remote, we wish to achieve dreams for all those aboard.

WAOW is principally set up as a scuba dive charter vessel. However, she is also available for charters such as:

Theme voyages such as photography or marine biology, accompanied by experts in these fields:

  • Company seminars and team building.
  • Custom made voyages for families and groups.
  • Honeymoon cruises.
  • Other charter reasons corresponding to the capacities of the vessel.

Charter operations began in April 2012 in Indonesia, an archipelago made up of over 17'000 islands.
